If your child or teen becomes intense, reactive and easily upset over seemingly minor, everyday situations, take heart, because you are not alone. This scenario is more common than you may realize. Many parents feel at their wits’ end when they try to help their child handle these challenges.

There is good news! In this practical, information-packed workshop, Dr. Aureen Wagner offers you a 3-phase plan to help your child with meltdowns, derived from over 25 years of experience as a clinical child psychologist. With a systematic cognitive-behavioral therapy approach, you can learn strategies that will help you and your child.

Dr. Aureen Wagner will provide, in about an hour, a valuable overview of what meltdowns are, what makes them worse and what makes them better. She helps parents understand why reactive responding to meltdowns don’t work, and the 3P’s Plan—proactive, positive, and preventive—that does work. She will share the steps that you can take before, during and after meltdowns to help your family and your child or teen.

Please note that the information and techniques offered in this workshop should not be used as a replacement for consultation, assessment or treatment by a qualified mental health professional. If you are concerned about your child, please consult with a qualified professional. If your child is already in treatment, please do not discontinue treatment without consulting with your treatment provider.
